- Messages: Messages you send in group chats are stored to provide the chat functionality. Images shared in chat are stored securely.
- Device Information: We collect device identifiers and push notification tokens to deliver notifications.

- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Show you relevant groups and rides near your location
- Deliver push notifications about ride updates, group activity, and messages
- Enforce our community guidelines (e.g., profanity filtering in chat)
- Communicate with you about your account and the Service
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Other Users: Your profile information (name, riding preferences) is visible to members of groups you join. Your messages are visible to group members.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services including Supabase (database and authentication), Google Cloud (push notifications and maps), and Render (hosting).
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and row-level security policies on our database. Chat images are stored in private storage buckets with signed, time-limited access URLs.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and update your personal information through the app
- Delete your account and associated data
